Here is a view down
one wing of our warehouse. This area contains the pressurized ripening
rooms. These rooms are cooled with chilled water, which is the best medium
for produce because it provides temperature control within 0.10 of a degree
throughout the room. Our 20 pressurized ripening rooms can accomodate 35
loads of produce and are the most environment-friendly rooms in America.
The pressurized ripening
rooms will ripen tomatoes, bananas, pears, avocados, papayas, and other
stone fruit.
