Here is a view down one wing of our warehouse. This area contains the pressurized ripening rooms. These rooms are cooled with chilled water, which is the best medium for produce because it provides temperature control within 0.10 of a degree throughout the room. Our 20 pressurized ripening rooms can accomodate 35 loads of produce and are the most environment-friendly rooms in America.
The pressurized ripening rooms will ripen tomatoes, bananas, pears, avocados, papayas, and other stone fruit.
The new ripening rooms were designed and installed by Cross Refrigeration of Dublin, Ireland, and utilize Dutch made doors and electronic controls. The finest refrigeration coils provide for exacting temperature and uniform air flow.
The advanced design of the ripening rooms offer innovative racking which allows walkway access between the produce pallets. The entire length of the rooms are serviced by refrigeration coils, as opposed to less efficient and less costly designs where only a few coils are placed in the room. This is why we are able to achieve exact conditions for every box of produce in the room.

Here we have one of our tomato stripping and repacking lines which are well placed and organized for efficient handling. The result is a top quality package handled with care, done within a refrigerated work staging area for less stress on the produce. The finished product again is better produce with a longer shelf life.

Five large , modern coolers are located adjacent to the repacking lines (left side of picture shows protective bollards in front of the coolers). This aids our ability to be efficient in our staging of produce to be repacked. Each of these coolers has a 7 truckload capacity for a total of 35 loads.

We have over a million dollars worth of bagging equipment to bag citrus, peppers...you name it. We have computerized label tag printers and software directly integrated with our bagging machines which enables us to be very responsive to customer needs--and FAST! Our machines also give us the unique capability to combine different items of produce within a bag automatically. Say you want 2 green peppers, a yellow pepper, and a red pepper in one bag. IT'S EASILY DONE!

How many times do you get bagged produce from shipping point where several items in the bag are no good? It doesn't happen with us because the bad ones are sorted out prior to bagging.
